Thanks to neighbors Angela, Ashley, Alex, Chris, Melissa and Tina for coming out and lending a hand! Honored to have Leslie Gilson, the inspiration behind Gibbs Butterfly Park in Huntington Beach come out as well to see how the Trail is shaping up. And special thanks to HB city councilmember Dan Kalmick to dropping by and taking a tour!

The upright plants with the small purple flowers are called Wild Radish. They have a long white tap root that is hard to dig up unless you have a straight metal dandelion weeding tool ( Ace Hardware)or a big fat long screwdriver. I looked it up to see if the root is edible 😆 and it is. Will someone please tell me how they taste?!
