Coastal Oaks Come Alive!

Updated: Nov 1, 2019

Thanks to a local resident Kevin P., who walks his dog on the trail and likes our restoration efforts, we now have several native coastal live oaks that he planted. Thanks Kevin!

Says Kevin:

"Awesome sounds great! Thank you :D I was just super excited when I saw that you guys were doing restoration efforts. I thought it was a dream come true. There’s hardly any natural areas in HB and the last few years I’d been thinking about how awesome it would be if we turned those old tracks into a nature trail. The wetlands are great and so is central, but I envisioned a massive coast live oak and I wanted to make it happen. When I saw that you guys had gotten buckwheat, sagebrush, sages and sunflowers and all the stuff needed ti bring HB back to it’s natural state, I figured the only thing that I could add which wasn’t already there was an oak tree which will hopefully become MASSIVE. THANK YOU!"
